Lise Brin

she, her, hers, elle, sa, sienne
Program Officer, Canadian Association of Research Libraries
Areas of expertise
I was a librarian for 8 years in a small, primarily undergraduate university setting, where I was involved in reference, instruction, outreach, and collections, but developed expertise primarily in the areas of copyright and scholarly communication.

I now work at a library association, juggling many projects, participating in some in a more administrative role and in others in a more direct, contributing role. Although I am a member of a team that collaborates closely, my work is currently done remotely (telecommuting).

Prior to becoming a librarian, I worked in film and TV production and at various Toronto film festivals.

I am happy to talk to people who are:
- interested in finding a position in academic libraries (whether straight out of their Master's or moving from another type of library)
- moving from working in the arts to working in libraries
- bilingual, and interested in working in both French and English
- considering positions done via telecommuting
- interested in Scholarly Communications, Copyright, Open Education
- curious about library association work

...or whatever else you think I may be able to help you with!
